Why Volunteer at the Wolcott House?

Because you have a love and appreciation for the history of Maumee and the Maumee Valley, and a desire to share that enthusiasm with others.

Because scheduling is flexible - the Museum is open Thursdays through Sundays, April - December. Guided Tours are offered at 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.

Training is provided so you are comfortable in your position.

Volunteers are Vital to the Wolcott House
Docents lead visitors through the house and around the grounds, explaining the Wells-Wolcott legacy and the pioneering traditions of the lower Maumee Valley.

Group/School Guides show special tours, regaling wonderful stories about Captain Wells, Chief Little Turtle, and Mary and James Wolcott.

Hosts/Hostesses greet visitors at the Wolcott House door.

Storekeepers greet and serve visitors while maintaining the museum store.

Maintenance Helpers assist in keeping the buildings and grounds in order.
 
Tea Committe Members help serve scheduled teas throughout the year.

Special Event Workers aid the Society in fund-raisers scheduled throughout the season.
