The Wolcott’s in 10 Objects: September 13, 2026, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
In partnership with Ohio Open Doors, join us for a special behind the scenes tour, The Wolcott’s in 10 Objects. This unique experience will explore ten carefully selected artifacts that tell the story of the Wolcott family, the servants who lived with them, their daily lives, their values, and their impact on Maumee. Each object serves as a window into the past, revealing how ordinary items can hold extraordinary stories.
Space is limited so registration is required.
The Wolcott House Backstairs Tour: September 27, 2026, 11:00 am
In partnership with We Want More History!, explore the Wolcott House from a different perspective during this special Backstairs Tour, uncovering the hidden spaces, daily routines, and stories of the people who lived and worked behind the scenes.
Please note that this tour includes narrow, steep stairways and is not accessible to individuals with mobility limitations.

Autumn Market: Saturday, October 3, 2026, 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
Celebrate the Ohio Foods and Farms theme of the Maumee 250 with a fun-filled day at the Autumn Market at the Wolcott Heritage Center! This family-friendly event invites children to step back in time and experience hands-on history by churning and molding butter with authentic period utensils, grinding corn by hand, and helping make old-fashioned ice cream.
In addition to the interactive history activities, browse a variety of artisan vendors offering locally made crafts, food products, artwork, and unique handmade goods. It's the perfect way to celebrate Ohio's rich agricultural heritage while enjoying a beautiful autumn day at one of Maumee's most historic sites.

Private Paranormal Tours at the Wolcott Heritage Center
Step beyond the ordinary and into the haunted history of the Wolcott Heritage Center during our exclusive Private Paranormal Tours this fall. Gather your friends, family, or fellow paranormal enthusiasts for a three-hour investigation of some of Maumee’s most historic buildings.
Tours are offered Saturday nights, September 26 through October 17, 2026, from 9:00 PM to Midnight.
During the 2026 season, your private group can choose to explore the first floor and basement of the historic Wolcott House, the Monclova Church, and the Train Depot. With the buildings closed to the public and the nighttime setting adding to the atmosphere, you’ll have the opportunity to investigate, listen, and see if you can uncover evidence of those who may still linger among us.
Private tour pricing:
$250 minimum for a group of up to 5 participants
$50 for each additional participant
Maximum 10 participants per group
Paranormal investigation kits are available to rent for $15 each
For everyone's safety and the preservation of these historic buildings, all participants must remain with a member of the Maumee Valley Historical Society at all times.
Bring your curiosity, your courage, and an open mind. The question is not whether the Wolcott Heritage Center has a history… but whether some of that history is still here.
