Step back in time and experience daily life in the 1800s through hands on activities such as laundry, candle making, ice cream churning, rug cleaning, and other household chores early settlers completed each day. Participants will also explore Native American life by learning traditional skills, games, foods, and crafts, while gaining a deeper understanding of the region’s first inhabitants. The experience concludes with authentic one room schoolhouse lessons using quill pens, McGuffey Readers, and slate boards, along with opportunities to try fiber production and weaving in the historic farmhouse.
